This extension is an implementation of statistical (Bayesian) detection of spam for Outlook, but also for other email applications. It is an open project, which can be used both at home and work computer at no cost and without any restrictions.
The basic prerequisite for successful operation is that in Outlook, there no longer remains successful work of the original filter - a folder with spam and legitimate mail folder.
Before receiving a new e-mail, SpamBayes checks and determine whether it is legitimate or Junk message. In the event that it fails to identify it, the e-mails are saved to "suspicious", which can be manually marked as junk or legitimated. Similarly, it can be in any unsolicited messages received by mistake set the spam on the basis of which the filter learns the report now drop.
SpamBayes has a high accuracy of detection. Its success increases with time and amount of use of processed messages.
However, it is quite demanding on PC performance and not as quick as some commercial products. Nonetheless, this is a very good solution.
